Friday, May 11, 2012, is the last day for box tops to be collected. Please send your box tops in a plastic bag with your child’s name and the amount of box tops written on it. Last time our class collected 1,276. Let’s try to beat that!
The Walk-a-thon and field day for fourth grade is going to be on Thursday, May 10, 2012. We will be eating our lunch at the park that day. Please pack a brown bag lunch for your child. Please include a drink. Please write their name on the bag so it can be easily identified. Your child may wear their P.E. uniform shorts, capris, or sweat pants. Please make sure they are dressed appropriately since we will be walking all morning and partaking in sporting events all afternoon. Tennis shoes are suggested. More information regarding the event can be found on the yellow sheet of paper that went home today, Monday, May 7, 2012.

Monday – noun test
Wednesday – practice spelling test
Friday – final spelling test, Bible verse, Bible chapter quiz homework packet
Walk-a-thon is Thursday, May 10, 2012. The permission slip needs to be returned to the classroom by Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

There is a correction to the homework packet. Since it is a review spelling week, the students will only need to write their spelling words three times each instead of five times each.

The state research project is due Friday, April 27.
The spelling test will be on Wednesday and Friday and the Bible verse/chapter quiz will be Friday. The homework packet is also due Friday.

Terra Nova testing continues Monday and Tuesday. Please make sure your child gets rest and a healthy breakfast. They have been doing a great job behaviorally with the tests. I know it takes a lot out of them. 
No homework packet this week. The packet will start again next week.
